A look back.

A few months ago I bought new leather dining chairs that are REALLY COMFORTABLE for sitting on.  They even perform double duty as I now tend to use the breakfast room as an office....they are that comfy!  I even move them in to the lounge when extra seating is required.  However, other than add a pretty cushion, you can't really add any decorative touches to these chairs.  So I thought I would show you last years chairs in all their decorative glory.  Yes - they look good - but it was time for a change.

The Breakfast Room at Ciera's - finished!

This is my favorite room to decorate.  It's small and so just a few decorations have a big impact.  I have kept the surfaces pretty clear this year so that it's easy to clear any decorations away if I need some extra food serving area.  I also moved the wreath off the window as it used to catch in the blinds last year.

Christmas Candles

A tarnished silver tray provides a wonderful and stylish way to catch dripping wax.  Ciera has filled the tray with gilded fruit and festive flowers to create a pretty and practical vignette.

A Christmas candle is a lovely thing;
It makes no noise at all,
But softly gives itself away.

Window Shopping for Inspiration

While out shopping, Ciera came across this fabulous Christmas display.  Simple white-washed crates and rustic birdhouses combine to create an adorable (and easily copied) look.
